Please Pray for Freshman Retreat

Luke Mullin, editor-in-chief

Whether it be talking to a co-worker, a family friend or a prospective student’s parents, I am sometimes asked, “What do you like most about Prep?”, to which I respond, “the retreat program.”

Prep’s retreat program holds a special place in my heart and in the hearts of everyone who has walked the halls at Prep. Freshman retreat and junior encounter, in particular, have helped me grow my spirituality and foster the relationships I carry out with my classmates. They have assisted me in finding not only who I am but who I want to become, and for that reason, they have great meaning to me.

Freshman retreat, in particular, can change the way a student views Prep and even the way they view the world. It is through the hard work of our campus ministry department, freshman retreat leaders and grounds crew that such can occur. With freshman retreat beginning today, I ask that you, the Prep community, keep the aforementioned in your prayers this weekend. For the success of the retreat and that the freshman can have the same impactful experience that many before them had is what I will be thinking of, and I ask that you do the same.
