Welcome to the new Jay Journal

Welcome+to+the+new+Jay+Journal

Luke Mullin, editor-in-chief

On behalf of The Jay Journal staff, I would like to welcome you to the new student-run website for news at Creighton Prep. In the past, The Jay Journal ran exclusively in a print format, but this year we are leading the transition to an online news hub for all things Creighton Prep. In this day and age of 24/7 connection, Creighton Prep news will go with you anywhere and anytime. Our new website will feature the same news writing that The Jay Journal featured in the past, along with videos, podcasts, editorials, polls, recent sports score updates and interactive photo galleries.

Content will be uploaded to the website as soon as it becomes possible to do so. In the past, events that occurred shortly after our news deadlines could take up to three weeks to be printed. Now, stories and photos from events enter a streamlined process that results in a much quicker turnaround. Not only has the format of The Jay Journal changed, but so has its adviser. Matt Rasgorshek will lead the staff for the upcoming school year.

I’m glad to serve as editor-in-chief for the 2016-2017 school year, and if you have any letters to the editor, please send them my way at [email protected]. Thank you for viewing our website, and on behalf of The Jay Journal staff, I sincerely hope you will return to view the latest Creighton Prep news as it is published.
