The Creighton Prep football team will face their most difficult task yet on Friday, September 16. The Junior Jays will take the field against the defending state champions, the Millard North Mustangs. The game will be played at Buell football stadium, located at Millard South.

Senior lineman Joe Searl said, “this is the biggest challenge we will face this year”.

Both teams are coming off convincing victories. The Jays beat Fremont 49-0 while the Mustangs won 52-21 over the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs. Both teams have a record of 2 wins and 1 loss, and a district record of 1-0.

Millard North is lead by North Dakota State commit Jack Begley. Begley, the senior defensive back, rounds up a solid defensive for the Mustangs. The Junior Jays have no shortage of talent either, and are up for the challenge of going up against a premier opponent

Senior wide receiver Joe Coniglio said, “we have been practicing all week at 110%. We are ready to go out and show them how good we are”.

This powerhouse matchup will draw attention to some of the big name players of each team, giving each player an added pressure to perform at their peak on Friday night.
